Refreshing Spring Cocktails To Try This Season!

Spring has sprung and endless days in the sun have begun! And what makes an afternoon by the pool even better? A refreshing cocktail to sip on that will make you feel like you're on vacation. From floral and fruity to smokey and flavorful, here are the most seasonally appropriate cocktails to welcome in the warm months! 

Cherry Blossom

Ingredients
1.25 oz 1800 Silver Tequila
1 oz lime juice
1 oz grapefruit juice
.25 oz grenadine
Grapefruit slice or maraschino cherry for garnish
Salt as needed
Instructions
Pour all ingredients into shaker and shake well. Strain into a salt rimmed martini glass or serve over ice. Garnish with a grapefruit slice or cherry.

Mezcal Pineapple Sour

Ingredients
1.5 oz Mezcal
.5 oz fresh pineapple juice
.75 oz lemon juice
.75 oz agave
1 egg white
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain ice from the tin.
Dry shake and pour into coupe.
Garnish with crushed peppercorn on the froth.

 

St. Germain Spritzer

Ingredients
1 oz St. Germain Liquor
1 oz Campari
7 oz sparkling white wine (or club soda)
Optional Garnishes:
Cherries
Apricot slices
Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
Fill a cocktail glass with ice. Add in St. Germain, Campari, and sparkling white wine.
Garnish with cherries or apricots and serve right away.

Kentucky Buck

Ingredients
2 strawberries, hulled
½ oz. (15 ml) 1:1 simple syrup (see headnote)
2 oz (60 ml) bourbon
¾ oz (22 ml) fresh lemon juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters
3 oz (90 ml) ginger beer
Strawberry, to garnish

 

Instructions
Gently muddle the strawberries with the Simple Syrup in a cocktail shaker
Add the bourbon, lemon juice, and Angostura bitters
Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds
Double strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice
Top with ginger beer
Garnish with a fresh strawberry.

Elderflower & Herb Cooler

Ingredients
2 thyme sprigs, leaves only
2 rosemary sprigs, leaves only
8 edible flowers (such as pansies, rose petals and borage)
50ml elderflower cordial
150ml elderflower liqueur
150ml gin
Ice
330ml can sparkling water
Instructions
Pop the herbs and flowers into the holes of an ice cube tray, fill with water and freeze for 2-3 hrs or until frozen solid.
Pour the elderflower cordial, elderflower liqueur, gin and a large handful of ice cubes into a large jug
Stir until the outside of the jug feels cold then strain into 4 tall glasses or champagne flutes
Top with the soda and add a few more ice cubes and the floral ones too

Basil Martini

 

Ingredients
2 oz. Plymouth dry gin 12 oz
Cocchi Americano
12 oz. Dolin dry vermouth
1 dash orange bitters
1 large basil leaf
Instructions
In a large glass, combine gin, Cocchi, vermouth, bitters, and 2 cups ice
Stir for 15 seconds and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Place basil in the glass
